The MashUp Concept

The concept for this MashUp was born from the desire to deliver celebrity related content in a novel and exciting way. The Celebrity Scrapbook allows users to search for their favourite celebrity, and presents the four latest news headlines, the latest Tweet and the latest fan-created artwork in the style of your very own scrapbook.

Data Sources

This MashUp uses data from news sites such as The Age, E-Online, TMZ and Yahoo News. It also uses data from DeviantArt, and Twitter.

Inspiration

Inspiration for this concept came from other MashUps such as Doodle Buzz which presents news in a brand new and interesting way, as well as lolwr.us which is an example of a MashUp that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but it still extremely clever and well thought out. Design inspiration was also taken from Scrapbooking groups on Flickr.
